I baked, drama-ed and blogged (is now) today.
Initially, I planned to bake the macarons from 8am to 11am.
However, the egg whites killed me (and my arm).
I'm supposed to whisk the egg whites till they are firm.
Everyone uses the electric beater.
Sadly for me, mum is not home so I have no idea where is it.
However, I do know where is my little whisk, so I beat it manually.
A job that is supposed to take 3mins (by electric beater), took me almost 2hours (manually) to complete.


Still too 'watery'.


Finally.

My right palm was damn red and numb when I was done with it.
So, by 10am, I was only done with the egg whites.
Brr.
Blended the powdered sugar, powdered almonds and cocoa and folded them into the egg whites.
Around 10.45am (at some point I was busy keeping my sugar as there were ants on my kitchen counter), I pour them into my pastry bag (aka my zip lock bag) and created a 'moat' for it (ANTS).

Washed the dishes and the kitchen sink's drainage choke, causing dirty water to sip out from the cabinet and spilling on the floor.
Total horror.
Grabbed the mop and cleaned up the mess.
Luckily, I had 30mins before my lunch date with Sharon.

Went to NTUC to grab some containers.
Back home to continue baking.
Banged kitchen counters to shoo whatever possible lizards.


Yeah! My batter is still safe from ants!
Cut the tip of the bag and started piping them on the baking sheeting.
First time doing it so I totally sucks at drawing circles.


The first batch that goes into the oven.


And TAH DAH~ They are all not circular.


Burst!


At least, I managed to get the 'foot' formed at the base of the cookies.
Managed to get nicer circular cookies during the next few batches.
Made the filling while the cookies cooled down.


The filling is way too easy to make and I still have extras.
The only difficult part of it was grating chocolates.
While the filling cools down, I started working on the chocolate pudding.
Had to make them as I have leftover egg yolks.


Surprisingly easy to make and I have 6 pretty servings.
Not sure about the taste though as they are still chilling in the fridge.
Finally, I spread the fillings of the macarons and I'm done at around 4pm.
Cleaned everything up by 5pm (including watering my mum's plants).
Totally forgotten to shoot the macarons before freezing them in the freezer.
Argh.
Have no idea how they taste too, since they needed 1 day to let the flavour sink in.
Overall, quite successful I should say.
Might consider making them again in the future IF THEY TASTE GOOD.

Wanted to wake up at 8.30am today to complete some work but ended up waking at 9.30am.

Mum was washing the toilet so I can't brush my teeth.

So I went back to zzz.

The next time I woke up, I think it was around 10am.

Mum was bathing in the toilet = I can't brush my teeth again.

So I went back to sleep.

In the end, I woke up at 10.30am and luckily, the toilet was available.

I keep getting more and more worried as i attend those consultation sessions. The way he commented about my project is as though it will get rejected by the other lecturers during crit1. Seems like contacting STB is my only choice.

Emo post ahead. Shoo if this genre doesnt appeal to u. I somehow became an outcast hanging out with that usual group of friend and hardly talking or saying hi bye to the other schoolmates. When i have classes that my group of friends are not in, i will ended up sitting alone in a corner. Its not as if i want to be alone, its just that when the 'people' i know enter the class, they will sit away from me. I slowly got used to it as i progressed to year 3. Well, it allowed me to get to know new friend, eg, miss HR. Haha... Bullying. I hardly noticed it exist till 10min ago. I went to collect my packaging project when i realised the paperbag used to contain the stuff is missing. The bag was still around on monday. Someone had conveniently emptied e content of my paperbag into the big box (which holds everyone's works). Ok, fine. Maybe its just my luck that that person chose my paperbag. But whoever that bastard dumped my brand manual ON THE FLOOR. Thinking back, i realised it wasnt the first time such thing happened. It happened quite a few time since year1. Sigh... Seems like it has silently creeped up to me without me noticing. 算了。Only 6months left to graduation. So long these people dont destroy my FYP and let me graduate in peace, i will be happy.

Pissed. The day just started for me and im already in a bad mood due to mum, e nets card thingy and e train station staff. Argh.... Hope nothing goes wrong at work or i will burst my alone vessel. Anyway, im currently walking to work, cutting across shophouses at raffles. Realise there are 2 7-11 jus opposite each other. What was e management thinking. Lol.
Oh ya, wanted to blog on train but fell asleep while waiting for blogger to load. Was on e train to work and managed to get a seat. 2 ladies stood in front of me. The moment the train entered the tunnel, the 2 ladies started arranging/combing their hair. I wondered why, then i realise as e train is in e tunnel, e window will be black so ones reflection can be seen clearly on e window. I almost rofl at that thought. Haha... Alright, working time. Luckily, dad offered to drive me down.
Was unconscious throughout the whole ride there.
Got the goods and walked around J8.
Bought Post it notes, a mini stapler and 4 pairs of socks.
Then dad drove me down to Bugis.
Went Iluma.
Comics connection was having a clearance sale.
Bought a Yatterman piggy figurine and a Nightmare before Xmas keychain.
Then went Play Imaginative.
Was expecting their stuff to be ex.

So i bought it.

working at a shopping magazine company makes me want to shop BADLY.
it makes me not want to spend on my fangirling stuff and spend on bags (which i did recently), flats, heels, dresses, jeans, tees, blazers, socks (ROFL), accessories (i want to buy wooden bangles!) blah blah.

though i did make a big purchase on fangirl stuff recently, i have not been buying jpop magazines for 2 months, or to be exact, i havent made any purchase from kino since my birthday (i bought my june magazines from japan. XD).
it's a freaking big improvement.
i'm saving up to SGD150.

Waking up at 8.50am everyday and traveling a 40min ride down to Clarke Quay everyday makes me a tired girl.
Almost every morning, the 2 hours before lunchtime, I will doze off.
Not really doze off...Almost doze off.
I stuff myself with sweet to stay awake.
So far, I have eaten a box of lime mint mentos, a tube of fruity mentos, couple of mint tictacs and rock candy.
Unhealthy but bo bian.


Had OT everyday the whole week.
Wed was till 11.20pm which was the latest while Fri was till 11pm.
(up till here, the entry was typed on 2++am, then i fell asleep. woke up at 6am realising im asleep on my bed, with the light and computer on. I just off the ceiling light, dumped my lappie off the bed and plopped down back to lala land. So now, 1.49pm, I shall continue writing this entry.)>
I have been recording down the hours I have worked and OT.
I have got 35hours of OT to clear and this week, we have cleared 12 hours.

The editor has 2 dogs.
And the 2 dogs do come to the office to play.
We knew that fact.
But as we have never met Raisin before, we didnt know Raisin is a really small dog.
Such dogs are a little... no scratch that. very fierce.
I was kind of worried that I might accidentally stepped on it.
Haha...
Muffin is cute though.
But when he/she running at full speed, its scary.
Their food and stuff are in the toilet.


Speaking of toilet, the office's ladies was leaking the day before and yesterday.
Didnt really notice it though.
But I know a cubicle was locked.

There are glass panels rooms at the side if you noticed.
Those are the big guys' rooms.


As SL and I are seated right at the front of the office, we were often treated as the receptionists.
People will come in and ask us for 'this people' or 'pass this to this person'.
The problem?
We don't know the names of our colleagues.
Out of so many, we only know 5-6 of them.
Failed very badly on the first few days when we face these visitors but managed to guide a few later of the week.
There was this lady that came in and asked me how to get to the twelve floor.
My first thought was "Hmm... Where are the stairs in this building." so I replied "I don't really know..."
Then the second thought flew in and made me exclaimed out to her "Is there a twelve floor here?!"
Basically, my office is in one of those shophouses like building.
Only 5 floors~ =D


Our main task at work is to etch photos.
Have been etching the whole week.
Yesterday when I was trying to grab a nap on the train home, the moment i close my eyes, all i see are PATHS and ANCHOR POINTS.
My life.......


Have been wearing heels to work for the past 2 days as my $15 wedges died in just 4 days.
Conclusion?
Cheap wedges sucks.
Oh ya, im in love with these socks.
White lacey ankle socks.
They allow my wearing of heels to be plasters-free.
And they pretty and are just $2 a pair.

Well, internship has finally started for SheaLi and me.
Its not exactly fun (seriously, who likes to be tore away from the usual freedom of surfing FB and watching dramas like nobody's business).
Work didnt start out well with OT on the very first day but I blame myself for working too slow.
Have to throw my perfectionist thingy away and seriously speed up.
Pearls are giving me headaches and I have continue the battle with them tml.
Our workstation is very exposed rather big, I would say, with this huge Apple screen and a puny keyboard and mouse, just like the ones we have in 6th floor Mac Labs.
The ladies is pretty amusing. There is the playpen and dog bowls on the floor and dog food on the wash area. Well, they have a dog. Met the dog once when I went to get my LOA signed. The dog wasnt in today and that was quite a relief to SheaLi.
Lunch we had a quick Long John Silver meal. Bravo to National day promo. $4.40 for a 3 piece chicken meal! We were unsure of how long the lunch time was so we just ate and left. Aiming for bak ku teh (which we failed to eat today as it was not opened) for tml lunch.
Hmm... What else to write...
Ah.
If OTs continue for the rest of the week, Im bringing snacks in to fill my tummy and keep me awake.

I completed a TDrama (taiwan drama, not thailand drama) in 3 nights.
24 episodes. I can't remember what was the last TDrama I watched.
Hana Kimi? Or The X-Family? Can't remember which was the last. The X-Family was my last LONGEST drama watched ever. 80++ episodes lor!
Anyway, I watched Black & White 痞子英雄.
There one episode where 仔仔 made me cry. =(((
Nice police drama anyway. Lots of fighting, lots of guns. I approve. =D
Once again, I didn't fall in love with the 1st male lead or the 2nd male. I fell in love with the 3rd male lead. =DD 小馬♥

ANYWAY, back to real life. Final week is coming!!

Went to bed at around 3.30am last night this morning.
Realised I was actually rolling on my bed for almost an hour.
I was unable to fall asleep despite going to bed THAT late.
Then I realised I was thinking about my portfolio all the while.
My worries for my portfolio must be the cause of all this rolling on bed.
I should stop thinking about it and think of something else, I told myself.
So I pushed the thoughts about my portfolio aside and thought about fandom stuff.
I fell asleep almost immediately.

Anyone keen in designing a product that will improves our lives?
Go design a pair of 3D glasses that is good for humans who wear specs.
A pair that does not slip off when you have a puny nose and is trying to support 2 frames.

This is why I hate 3D sometimes.

Prettyheart sucks. No, we should call her Uglyheart.
She totally attempted to FAIL our presentation after the final report penalty shit.
My group totally spent half of our soul soul to get that presentation done and she basically ignored half of it, and kept dumping questions at us.
The good thing?
My group members (well, almost all.) are smart people who knows how to speak and now our facts.
The bad thing?
She didn't seem THAT please though.

ROAR.

A little summary of my group members:

Girl A - Hardworking but kind of dumb to want to tell uglyheart that the late submission was due to her when its definitely NOT.

Girl B - Hello pink words! Kind of hated her mood swings. One day is a nice girl, second day is a bitchy girl. Seems to be attracted to Boy B. Always find the easiest things to do. I won't call that smart. I would call that lazy.

Girl C - I hate her. A stupid PS and RC addict. Almost vomited blood when she asked me for help for that ridiculous thing. Has lousy dress sense and didn't really contributed much in our reports. Don't think I don't know. Luckily she did talk a bit during the presentation however there are 50% of what she said are WRONG INFO.

Boy A - My face was thrown away by him on the last day of block. Hardworking but needs to learn how to be early for school. He was even late for the FINAL PRESENTATION.

Boy B - Treated us to a whole lot of thing, such as pratas and kopi. Damn hardworking (I think its because he wants to graduate). Was kind of worried when he disappeared for a few times. But when he is back, he produces awesome shit. Contributed a lot during presentation too. Is ALWAYS willing to share his life experiences. Haha...

Overall - NOT BAD LAH. Cos got 6 pple in total. Even if one or two is not hardworking, I still have the majority of them who ARE hardworking.

Went to sleep with my RC open.
My pop went all the way down from 50 to 4.
It is depressinggggg........
I totally ruined my restro layout just to make it efficient.
Only 3 out of 8 workers are working.
